A little help
before you look.

Answers to the questions that come up when researching auction cars.

Finding a vehicle

What can I search for?

Use the catalogue to search by make, model, VIN or auction lot number. Filters narrow results by year, source, country, damage, original currency and last observed bid.

Why does my VIN return no results?

The archive only includes vehicles that have been captured. Try the original lot number, check the VIN for typing errors, or browse the relevant source. No result does not prove that a car has never been auctioned.

Are all US and European auctions covered?

Coverage depends on the records actually collected. Visit Auction sources to see record counts and the latest observation for each source.

Reading a record

Is the displayed bid the final selling price?

No. It is the last bid observed in a captured listing. Auction fees and a confirmed sale result may differ. Prices stay in the source’s original currency.

Are listings and status updated in real time?

Records describe the source at the displayed observation time. Availability, bids and status can change afterwards. Follow the original auction link to check the current listing.

Can the photos confirm the car’s condition?

Photos show the appearance recorded at the auction. They cannot establish mechanical condition or reveal every defect. Damage descriptions come from the source and are not an independent inspection.

Why are some details missing?

A source may not disclose a VIN, price or vehicle specification. Missing details stay marked as unknown. A complete VIN preserved from an earlier observation is labelled accordingly.

Saved cars & comparison

Where is my shortlist saved?

Use the heart on a car to save it in this browser. A shortlist holds up to 100 cars. The list uses local browser storage; there is no account or synchronisation between devices. Clearing site data removes it. If browser storage is unavailable, changes last only for the current page.

How do I compare vehicles?

Select Compare on up to four vehicle records, then open the comparison tray. Remove a vehicle or clear the list to start again. Compare mileage, damage, specifications and bids while checking each original currency.

Bidding & buying

Can I bid, buy or book delivery here?

Lotoryx is a research archive. We do not accept vehicle bids, vehicle purchase payments or shipping orders. Use the original auction or its authorised broker to arrange a purchase and any transport.

Corrections

How do I report an incorrect record or a privacy concern?

Use Report a data issue on the vehicle page or send a request. Include the lot number and explain the issue. Requests are saved for the site owner to review.

Vehicle record removal

How much does removal cost, and what does it cover?

The optional service costs $25 USD per vehicle. It removes public access to the selected Lotoryx record, records linked by its confirmed VIN, and their archived photos and previews. Matching later imports stay suppressed. It does not remove records from the original auctions, other websites or vehicle history registries. Request record removal.

How do I pay with cryptocurrency?

Submit a request first. After the site owner approves your authority, a hosted crypto checkout becomes available when payment is connected. The provider displays the available coins and networks, the amount and expiry. Network fees may apply separately. Removal starts automatically after the provider confirms full payment.

Will the car disappear from Google immediately?

Public pages and archived images covered by the completed request become inaccessible on Lotoryx. Search engines may keep older results and cached images until they update. We cannot guarantee when they will change or remove information held on other websites.

How do I return to my request?

Keep the private status link shown after you submit. It provides access to the request and payment status without an account. We do not send automatic email updates. Store the link securely and avoid sharing it publicly.
